Annie Prudie Caulder Hayes

Annie Prudie Caulder Hayes passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the Shoreland Health Care and Retirement Center in Whiteville. She was 85 years old.

Born on July 26, 1940, in Bladen County, Annie was the daughter of the late Braddie Caulder and Effie Watson Caulder. Her life was marked by a deep devotion to her family and her faith, a testament to her enduring love for the Lord and the many special friends she held dear.

Annie was known for her kind and welcoming nature, her loving heart, and her unwavering support to those around her. She treasured the time spent with her "Hardees" family, where laughter and companionship brought joy to her days.

She is survived by her siblings: Hazel Guyton; Margaret Wright and husband Wayne; Frankie Howell and husband Charlie; Cathy Charles and husband Sammy. She also leaves behind a number of special nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Preceding Annie in death were her parents, as well as her husband, William Craven McKee.

The family will receive friends from 2-2:45pm on Monday, May 25th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 3pm with Reverend Charlie Tatum officiating the service. Burial will take place thereafter at McKee Cemetery in Clarkton.

Annie’s presence enriched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured by her family, friends, and community. Her gentle spirit and compassionate soul remain an enduring light for those she leaves behind.
