Patricia Ann Kennedy Patterson

Patricia Ann Kennedy Patterson, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Elizabethtown on April 4, 2026. Born on April 21, 1947, in Wayne County, Patricia was a cherished daughter of the late Floyd Kennedy and Mae Lee Parsons Kennedy.

Patricia was a woman who deeply loved her family and treasured the time spent with each of her loved ones. Her presence brought warmth and joy to those around her, and her passions were many and varied. She had a particular fondness for shopping at thrift stores, which reflected her eye for unique and meaningful treasures. Decorating and antiques were among her interests, as she found beauty in the charm of old and thoughtfully arranged surroundings. The beach also held a special place in her heart, offering her moments of peace and reflection.

Throughout her life, Patricia enjoyed the company of her devoted family. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William Allen Patterson, and her son, Channing Roberts. She is survived by her sons: Doug Roberts and his wife Michelle of Texas, Brad Roberts and his wife Audrey of Elizabethtown, and Brock Roberts and his wife Amber of Clarkton. Patricia was also a beloved grandmother to Chris Roberts, Amber R. Jones, Nick Roberts, Ray Roberts, Lee Roberts, Karlee Roberts, and Kayla Roberts. She will be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Autumn Jones and Rebekah Roberts, who brought light and joy into her later years.

The family will receive friends from 12-12:45pm on Wednesday, April 8th at Purdie Church in Tar Heel followed by a funeral service at 1pm. Reverend Al Marshburn will officiate services. Burial will follow services in the Rockfish Memorial Cemetery in Wallace. 

Patricia’s life was marked by love, devotion, and an appreciation for the simple pleasures that enriched her days. Her legacy of kindness and warmth endures through the family she cherished so deeply and the memories she leaves behind. She will be remembered with respect and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
