Thomas William Lumsden III was born in Compton, CA on May 28, 1944, to Iola Boren Lumsden and Thomas William Lumsden Jr. In the early morning hours of October 17, 2026, Tom’s soul left his body and was received by his Maker.

Left to mourn the loss of Tom is his wife, soulmate, and best friend of more than 51 years, Deanna Bordeaux Lumsden. Also mourning his loss are his three sons: Tim Heacock and wife, Jackie; Jake Priode and his wife, Marissa; and Kyle Lumsden and his wife, Elizabeth. His grandchildren are Kassie (David); Madison; Anthony (Kayla); Jake; and Matthew. His great-grandchildren are Eli, Oakley, and Daegan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Laura, who died in infancy.

Although Tom made many friends throughout his career, spanning military service, restaurant and retail businesses, in the end nothing was as important to him as his relationships with God and his family. He absolutely loved living in "the swamp” (Crawley Swamp) and being around all of his extended family.
