Anita Berry

Anita Louise Barnes Berry, 64, of Bladenboro, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents: Waverly and Mildred Barnes; husband, Donald Berry and brother, Richard “Pete” Barnes. Anita leaves behind two daughters: Vicki Walker (Paul) of Pleasant Garden, NC, Kimberly Daniel (Murray) of Bladenboro; son, Sean Berry of Bladenboro; brother, Charles “Buddy” W. Barnes, Sr. of Yale , Virginia; two sisters: Barbara Ann Kitchen of Schuyler, Virginia, Mary “Ellen” Powell (Teddy) of Windsor, Virginia and granddaughter, Sydney Leigh Walker.

Anita was a kind and gentle lady who treasured her family and never met a stranger. Some of her hobbies included: cooking, baking, gardening, collecting and she was an avid shopper. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Anita made her granddaughter’s clothes because she was a preemie when she was born. You knew she loved you by her actions and what she would do for you. She was a mama to many. Anita will be greatly missed.

A private celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020.
