Mrs. Barbara was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bladenboro where she served as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Closely Knit Group until her health declined. She enjoyed crocheting and being a part of this group allowed her to minister to others through her talent of knitting. Each blanket created in the group was covered in prayers and donated to those in need with an abundance of love. Barbara’s family enjoyed time spent at her home enjoying a delicious spread of baked goods, laughter and playtime. She always enjoyed a game of “Cowboys and Indians” with the grandchildren and Christmas time was always filled with wonderful decorations, food, presents and much love. She had a love of antiques which she enjoyed acquiring on shopping trips with her beloved husband, Sidney. She looked forward to bringing home something special to add to their collection. Her legacy of love and devotion to her Lord and her family will live on in each of their lives and they will forever hold dear her motto for life, “The Older you get, the Sweeter Jesus Gets” until they all meet again on the other side of Heaven.
