Bernard Beard

Bernard "Scottie" Beard, age 71, of Elizabethtown passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents: Marshall and Margaret Beard, one brother: Jerry Michael Beard Sr. and one nephew: Kenneth Wayne Beard. Scottie leaves behind his wife of 51 years June Beard of the Home;one son: Jeffrey "Jeff" Beard and wife Linda of Elizabethtown, one daughter: Shannon B. Tatum and husband Gene of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren: Daniel Joel Beard and wife Laura, Kayla Maria Beard Davenport and husband Zachery, Marshall Beard, Landon Beard, Brandon Tatum, Cody Tatum, Jakob Tatum, three great grandchildren: Isabella Beard, Evy Beard, and Drake Beard, nephew: Jerry Michael Beard Jr. and wife Toni and a very special friend: Jerry Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a memorial service at 2 pm with Rev. Rich Smith officiating.
