Berry Conner

Berry Pope Conner, 86, of Tar Heel passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Janie Conner and three sisters: Inez Stephens, Bessie Anderson and Mae Todd. Berry leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Bonnie Connor of the home; three daughters: Teresa Allen (Jeff) of Tar Heel, Crystal Dunn (Michael) of Tar Heel, Bonita Britt (Arthur) of Orrum; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Berry had a great personality and enjoyed picking on his children and grandchildren. He was the ultimate handyman. He would repair tractors and never charge for his labor. Berry loved hunting, fishing, family and dogs. He would even share his deer meat with others. Berry took pride in teaching his girls how to be independent by working on their own cars and changing their own oil and tires. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, November 10th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 11th at 11am at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Burial will follow service in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin.
