Billy Hales

Billy Ray Hales, 69, of Laurinburg formerly of Elizabethtown passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents: Marion Lee Hales and Omega Davis Hales, one sister: Wanda Hales and two brothers: Donald and Roger Hales. Billy leaves behind his loving wife, Debby Smith Hales, of the home; one son: Heath Hales of the home, one nephew Daryl Hales of Lexington, SC and four great nieces.

Billy was a devoted husband, father and uncle. He adored his wife Debby of 42 years and enjoyed spending time with his family. Billy was a "Jack of all Trades" type of guy, capable of doing almost anything. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, attending concerts and traveling.  Billy was a generous soul who enjoyed making others laugh.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wade Hall. The family will receive friends following the service.
