Bobby Carroll Warren passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 79. Born on June 10, 1947, in Dunn, North Carolina, Bobby’s life was a testament to the enduring love of family, cherished traditions, and the joy found in life’s simple pleasures.
Throughout his life, Bobby was a devoted family man. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survived by his sons: Ray Reason, Jr. (Tarrah) and Lee Reason (Kim), Bobby took immense pride in the family he and his late wife, Rebecca Casey Warren, built together. He leaves behind his brother, Jimmy Sills and sister-in-law Cathy, his nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who cherished his guidance and warmth as well as his furry companion Roscoe, the chihuahua. Bobby’s love and devotion to his family created lasting bonds, none more cherished than his special relationship with his grandson Gabe—a connection that will endure in the hearts of those who knew them.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Mittrel Thomas Warren; his mother, Louise Haithcock; his beloved wife, Rebecca Casey Warren; his sister, Linda Darlene Warren; brothers: David Thomas Warren and Robert Earl Warren, and his step-brother, Michael Casey. The memory of those who went before him remained close to Bobby’s heart, a legacy of love and family unity that he held sacred.
A man of quiet passions and gentle humor, Bobby found solace and happiness in nature. The mountains called to him, and some of his fondest moments were spent on the porch, soaking in the sights and sounds, often preferring to dine outdoors so as not to miss a moment of the beauty around him. Bobby felt truly at peace surrounded by the wonders of the outdoors, savoring long rides and fishing trips—where it was less about the catch and more about being enveloped by nature’s embrace.
Bobby’s days were marked by a social spirit and a friendly demeanor. He enjoyed meeting people, always ready for a chat, his eyes twinkling with mischief, especially when ladies were in the vicinity. His wit and warmth made every outing an opportunity for connection, and his friendliness brightened the lives of all who had the pleasure of encountering him.
Bobby spent a lifetime building memories with family and friends, his legacy living on in the stories, laughter, and love that surround his name. Though he is no longer with us, his enduring spirit and the bonds he forged will continue to inspire those who loved him.
A visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3131 M.L.K. Dr, Elizabethtown, NC. May Bobby's memory forever echo in our hearts, and may his spirit find eternal peace amidst the mountains and open skies he so dearly loved.
