Brenda Gail Storms Hales

Brenda Gail Storms Hales, 78, of Bladenboro, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born on October 22, 1947, in Robeson County, Brenda was a cherished daughter of the late Willie Mac Storms and Mildred Milligan Storms. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas "Tommy" Hales.

Brenda's warmth and kindness were evident to all who knew her. She possessed a welcoming spirit that made others feel at ease, paired with a delightful sense of humor that brightened many gatherings. Brenda had a deep love for her family, especially her grandbabies, with whom she cherished cooking and spending time. Her passion for nurturing relationships extended to all, as she genuinely enjoyed talking to people from every walk of life.

Brenda leaves behind her son, John Hales and wife Tamie of Ash, NC; her brother, Billy Ray Storms and wife Vicki of Bladenboro; and her sisters: Jane White and husband Jerry of Bladenboro, and Judy Cooper and husband Dwight of Goose Creek, SC. Brenda is also survived by her four adored grandchildren: Emily, Wyatt, Isaac, and Luke.

A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, March 10th at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro. Reverend Bryan Hickman will officiate the service. Brenda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones and all whose lives she touched.
