Calvin Willoughby

Calvin Daniel Willoughby, age 87, of Bladenboro, died on Saturday, September 3, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Gussie Herring Willoughby; a daughter, Edna Faye Willoughby; one great granddaughter, Megan Milhon; one sister, Maude Abbott; six brothers, Duncan Willoughby, Grady Willoughby, Henry Willoughby, Alex Willoughby, Dennis Willoughby, and Fred G. Willoughby.



He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Alice Howell Willoughby of the home; one son, Charles Thomas Willoughby and wife Bonnie of Bladenboro; five daughters, Joyce Zachman and husband Butch of Tennessee, Zilla Milhon and husband Clifton of Virginia, Paula Knepper of Bladenboro, Tammy Heath and husband Tracey of Clarkton, and Patricia Gaughan and husband Justin of Bladenboro; two sisters, Zilla Brown of St. Pauls and Doris Hill of Red Springs; twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.



The family will receive friends on Monday, September 5, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galeed Baptist Church. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Galeed officiated by Rev. Bruce Cannon, Dr. Mack Roberts, Rev. Tom Willoughby and Rev. Warren Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
