Carlton Bennett "Buddy" Davis, 75, of Elizabethtown, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 6, 2008.
Mr. Davis was born in Bladen County to Carlie and Lela Davis. He was self-employed as a mechanic.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Davis of Tar Heel and Ronnie Davis of Lumberton; two daughters, Judy Faye Atkins of Elizabethtown and Deborah Ann Davis of Tennessee; three brothers, Eugene Davis of Elizabethtown, David Charles Davis of Bladenboro, and Billy Ray Davis of Bladenboro; two sisters, Eva Russ of Lumberton and Bonnie Mae Callihan of Elizabethtown; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The visitation is planned for Friday, February 8, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Love Grove Baptist Church in Tar Heel. The funeral will be Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Love Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Andrews officiating. Burial will follow the service in Davis/Dowless Family Cemetery.
