Clay Alexander Allen

Clay Alexander Allen of Bladenboro left for his eternal home on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the young age of 29. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry “Bo” McKeithan and paternal grandparents, Boyce and Faye Allen.

Clay was one of three sons born to loving parents, Nathan and Wendi Allen of Bladenboro, devoted husband to Kaylee Allen of the home, doting dad to his daughter Lucy Mae Allen of the home, cherished brother of Clint and Cade Allen of Bladenboro, beloved grandson of Patricia “Trigger” McKeithan of Bladenboro, dear nephew to a host of aunts and uncles and proud uncle to Grayson, Stella, Lilly and Walker. He was also the best confidant and pal to a multitude of friends.

Just an all around good guy, Clay not only had a great personality but also succeeded at anything he put his hands to. His passions were cooking, sports, and the great outdoors. So much so that he made a career with the North Carolina Wildlife Commission. He enjoyed all things fishing and hunting, but especially wild turkeys and was known to fry up one or two every season.

Clay's heart was so full of love for not only Jesus who he knew and believed all things with; but also for his dearly beloved wife, daughter, family and friends. One of the proudest moments in his life was when he became a dad. Lucy was his world and it was a pure joy watching the two of them together. Clay was the type of man that made his parents, grandparents and in-laws so proud. For the most part, Clay had a quiet disposition about most things, however when he did speak everyone knew it was going to be something good. He will always be remembered for his beautiful smile, his unconditional love, and his determination to give it his all.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 2-4 pm at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center in Bladenboro with a funeral service immediately following at 4 pm with the Pastor Jay Dorman, Pastor Howard Burke and the Reverend Charles Brust officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Pine Crest cemetery in Bladenboro.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the enormous amount of kindness, love, and support shown to them over the course of Clay’s journey and during this most difficult time of loss. Earth’s loss is surely Heaven’s gain, a place where there will be no more sickness, no more pain and no more tears.
