Debbie Preston

Debbie Gause Preston, age 51, of Hershey, PA passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Tues. Jan 8 in the M.S,. Hershey Medical Center in Pennslyvania surrounded by her loving family.



She was born in Elizabethtown to Ernest L. and Virginia Ward Gause of Elizabethtown, NC.



Debbie worked in accounting during her time in Pennsylvania, and was employed by the Parks & Recreation Dept. of Bladen County while she lived in North Carolina. She was a graduate of East Bladen High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hershey and very involved in the Palmyra-Hershey area Relay For Life.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend throughout her life and will be greatly ,missed by her family, friends, and all the people whose lives she touched. Debbie was never reluctant to talk of her savior, Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 18 years, Bryan D. Preston,her son, James A. \\"Sandy\\" Bridgers and wife Victoria of Greenville, N.C., two grandsons, Jackson and Luke Bridgers; two sisters, Cathy L. Gause of Bowling Green, KY, and Donna G. Cavedo (Walter) of Wilmington, NC; a brother, R. Charles Gause of Wagram, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00PM at Lisbon Baptist Church in Lisbon. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.



In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family asks that memorial contributions be made out to James Bridgers at 101 Canterbury Ct. Greenville,NC 27858 to fund the grandchildren\\'s continuing educatiion.
