Deborah Lanier

Deborah Lanier, 70, of Tar Heel passed away Friday, February 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Neil Rae Evers; husband, John Dalton Lanier; brothers: David and Ernest Evers.

Deborah leaves behind two daughters: Kelly Lanier (fiance Allan Tatum) of White Oak and Melody Lanier Sells(fiance Robert Nunnery) of Tar Heel; six grandchildren: Matthew Smith, Zachery Smith, Katlyn Sasser, Preston Sells, Carley Rorick, Christopher Rorick; two great-grandchildren: Samuel Smith, Noah Sasser and many nieces and nephews.

Deborah loved her family and enjoyed trips to the mountains. She was a strong firecracker who brought the true meaning to a red head. Her determined spirit will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Flowers are welcome, family wishes to express that the flowers should be something to carry home.
