Deborah Morris

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Byrd Morris, 56, of Bladenboro, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016.

Debbie was a registered nurse at Bladen County Hospital for 32 years. She loved being a nurse and loved her work family, they were special to her. Debbie dedicated her life to serving the community and helping others. Debbie was a one of a kind person and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bernice Owens Byrd; special aunt, Della Haithcock; nephew, Brent Byrd; and father-in-law, Harvey Morris. Survivors include: husband, Roderick Harvey "Rick" Morris Jr. of the home; daughter, Kelly Morris Barnes of Myrtle Beach, SC (Jamie); special fur baby, Jack; brother, Robert Byrd of Spartanburg, SC (Evelyn Wood); niece, Heather Bowers of Albemarle, NC (Terry); great niece, Abigail Blasingame of Spartenburg, SC; a special uncle, Junior Haithcock of Albemarle, NC; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Morris; brother-in-law, Dean Morris (Valerie); niece, Allison Morris and nephew, MacKenize Morris of Bladenboro, NC.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 6-9 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Dublin. Burial following service at AG Roberts Cemetery, Old NC 41, Bladenboro, NC.
