Donald Hales

Donald Lee Hales, 67, retired Army Veteran of Elizabethtown passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016. He is survived by one son, Daryl Hales and wife Melissa of Lexington, SC; two brothers, Billy Hales and wife Debby of Laurinburg and Roger Hales of Siler City, four grandchildren: Angela Hales, Jasmine Strehl, Bella Strehl, and Elizabeth Hales.
Mr. Hales graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1967, retired from the Army, and was a member of the VFW and the Bladen County Chapter of the Kiwanis Club. He loved to work in his yard and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, April 1st at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 2nd at Davis Cemetery at 1 pm in Elizabethtown.
