Doyce Earl Walter

Doyce Earl Walter, 90, U.S. Navy Veteran of Elizabethtown passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Walter and Minnie Atabury Leeda Walter, his wife Dora Dunn Walter, son Michael Doyce Walter, and daughter Sandra Kay Ruffi.

He is survived by one son, Danny Joe Walter (Ning) of Florida, daughters, Cheril Denese Beyer (Don) of Elizabethtown, and Sheila Diane Koger (Rick) of Michigan, one brother Larry Walter of Arkansas, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Doyce was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He spent 26 years in the United States Navy where he worked on submarines until his retirement. He was a self-taught musician who loved Blue Grass music. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard walking or tending to his flowers and garden vegetables. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all that knew him.
