Dr. Dwayne "Eric" Rich

Dr. Dwayne Eric Rich, 61, of Leland went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born on December 12, 1963, in Dillon, S.C. son to the late Marilyn Mishue.

 Dr. Rich was a devout man of God who dedicated his life to the work of God’s kingdom. He had a passion for helping people and he loved his family, friends, coworkers and church dearly. He spent his days working at Woodforest National Bank and other times as the shepherd of the Natmore Baptist Church flock in Kelly, NC. When not working, he loved to spend time fishing. Whether catching fish or being a fisher of men, he was always about the Father’s business, therefore he leaves this legacy as it was written in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

 Dr. Rich leaves behind his beloved wife, Terri Rich of the home, son Jonathan Rich of Pine Hurst, daughter Erica Rich Laverdure (Austin) of Leland, stepson Daniel Powell (Beka) of Sneads Ferry, brother Terry Mishue of Dillon, S.C., sister Angie Arnette of Dillon, S.C. and a host of family and friends.

 The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Natmore Baptist Church in Kelly followed by a funeral service at 4 pm with the Reverend Mike Pittman and Reverend David Foster officiating. Burial will follow the services in the church cemetery.
