Elizabeth Austin

Elizabeth Singletary Austin,89 of Clarkton, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville.



She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.



She is survived by a daughter Jane Singletary Pruette; two grandchildren, Devone Pruette, Jr. of Clarkton and James Grady Pruette of Vale, NC.



Mrs. Austin is predeceased by her parents, John and Miriam Shipman; her late husbands, James Martin Singletary and Bob Austin; two brothers J.N. and Spurgeon Shipman and one sister, Pinkie Allen Haire.



A memorial service will be on Thursday, October 6, at 2:00 PM at Clarkton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Chris Carroll officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the fellowship hall. A private burial will be held at a later date in Clarkton Cemetery.
