Ella Davis

Ella Frances Taylor Davis, 75, of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 18, 2009.

Frances was perhaps best known, not only for being a wife, mother and sister, but for her work which she dearly loved, as a short-order cook for Cox\\'s Sandwich Shop and as the biscuit maker at Hardee\\'s Restaurant, both of Bladenboro.



Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Herbert Paul Davis; four daughters, Ellen Gause and husband Oliver of Elizabethtown, Brenda Cox of Richlands, Marie Jackson and husband Joe of Bladenboro, Pam Taylor of Wilmington; three sons, Tommy Davis and wife Corinne, Bobby Davis and wife Sandy and Jimmy Davis, all of Bladenboro; two adopted daughters, Linda Stuart of Wilmington and Sheila Christian of Bladenboro; five sisters, Ruth Inez Davis of Tucson, Arizona; Betty Sue Taylor of Elizabethtown, Mary Alice Dowless of Bladenboro, Catherine Hodges of Troy, Rachel Johnson of Asheboro; one brother, Lonnie V. Taylor, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and her cat, Sam.



Preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Vance Taylor, Sr. and Alma Ruth Tilley Taylor, and her son, Timothy Wayne Davis.



The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 2:00pm at Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Larry Greenwood and Rev. Cameron McGill officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery.
