Ernest Clayton McDuffie, 82, of Pinehurst (formally from Elizabethtown) entered into eternal rest on April 6, 2011, in Moore Regional Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents, Erastus Flecher McDuffie, Sr. and Mariam Vannie Beard McDuffie; and three brothers.
He is survived by four sons, Ernest Clayton McDuffie, Jr., Steve McDuffie, and Charles McDuffie, all of Charleston SC, and Jeff McDuffie of Minnesota; one brother, Fletcher McDuffie of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Carolyn Smith of Myrtle Beach and Celia Compton of Charleston, SC; and several grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside service in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery on Saturday, April 9, at 1:00 PM.
