Ewen Hester

Ewen Hester, age 70 of Bladenboro, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Edith Hester; sister, Clarice Hester; four infant children; and one grandchild, Owen Hester. He is a Veteran of the Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Vonda B. Hester of the home; a son, Daniel Hester and wife Pauline of Bladenboro; a daughter, Gia Howell and husband Will of Lumberton; three brothers, Kendrick, Ernest, and Broadus Hester all of Bladenboro; a sister, Hilda Coleman of Bladenboro; and four beloved grandchildren, Bailey, Natalie, Luke and Kinsley.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be conducted on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Singletary Baptist Church in Lumberton officiated by Rev. Mitchell Nance. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
