Julia Faye Hester was born June 9, 1950, to the late Roy Lee Conner, Sr. and Josephine “Kitten” Conner. Faye passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 75 on October 2, 2025, and met Jesus face-to-face for the first time. Faye’s home for most of her life was Bladenboro but she desired to be closer to her daughter and family and decided at the age of 70 that she wanted to move to be closer to her little family. She would often tell others how much she loved being near Gary, Angie, and Ethan and loved the serenity of the country lifestyle. For those that knew her, Faye will be remembered for the light she brought into a room, for times she was a caregiver to those she loved, the love she had for her family, and the love she had for Jesus.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Kitten, her brothers Darryl “Cowman” Conner, Roy Lee Conner, Jr., Morris Conner, sister Lori Ann Conner, and nephew Kevin Conner. Left to treasure her memories are daughter Angela Wells (Gary), grandson Ethan Evans, brother Glenn Conner (Kay), niece Marinda Riecan, nephew Ashley Conner, and a dear cousin and friend, Louise Hood.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 2-3 pm at the Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Stewart Wells officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Lewis Cemetery in Bladenboro.
