Frances was the cherished daughter of the late Robert James McCallum and Frances Lorena Adair McCallum. She is survived by her loving brother, John Michael McCallum, and her devoted niece, Lorena Hanson and her husband Tim, with whom she shared a unique and cherished bond. Frances played a significant role in helping to raise Lorena during times when her brother was working, and their close relationship was a source of deep joy throughout her life. She is also survived Caitlin and Jack Hanson, her greatniece and greatnephew.

Frances’s formative years were greatly influenced by her upbringing within the Clarkton Presbyterian Church, where she drew strength and comfort from her faith. She remained proud of her Presbyterian roots, often recalling her childhood there with immense fondness. Frances carried these values with her into adulthood, shaping her character and her enduring sense of kindness.  Known for her warmth and approachability, Frances kept in touch with friends and family through her love of Facebook, relishing time spent playing on her phone. She embraced the evolving digital world while always cherishing real connections and memorable moments shared with loved ones.  A woman of varied enthusiasms, Frances delighted in relaxing evenings enjoying Chinese cuisine and could always be found eagerly tuning in to her favorite television series, NCIS. When the show was on, she was truly captivated, treating each episode as a special event.  Travel also held a special place in Frances’s heart. Among her favorite destinations was Charleston, South Carolina. Visiting her aunt there in her youth left her with treasured memories that she revisited fondly throughout her life. Whether embarking on new adventures or recalling cherished moments, Frances’s love of travel embodied her appreciation for family, tradition, and discovery.

Frances Carol McCallum’s legacy endures in the love she shared, the values she exemplified, and the joyful memories she created. Her passing is mourned by all who knew her, and her memory will remain an enduring comfort to her family and friends.
