Gracelyn Bullock

Gracelyn Pearl Bullock, age 5, of Raeford, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 25, 2019. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Wanda Pearl Ray and Betty and Curtis Speights. Gracelyn leaves behind her mother, Costina Bullock (Mike), her father, Michael Bullock (Renee), one brother, Michael Jason Bullock Jr., maternal grandparents, Carla Grimes (Jerry), Robert Grimes, maternal great grandparents, Cecil Ray, Jean and Elmer Grimes, paternal grandmother, Sarah L. Mayes, paternal grandfather, Kenneth Bullock (Tammy), one aunt, Colbie Grimes (Keith), one uncle, Timothy Bullock, and four cousins: Jace Butler, Leila Ward, Myles Owens and Hannah Bullock.

On December 31st of 2013, Gracelyn came into the world determined to make her presence known. She was tiny but strong-willed right from the start. She was such an active baby, sassy toddler and at times, a feisty little girl. In the short time we had her she was bursting with life, vitality and spunk. Everyone that met her absolutely adored her. Her beauty, charm and independent spirit had everyone wrapped around her little finger from the beginning. She packed a lifetime of fun, sparkle and “Gracie” filled shenanigans into the short time she was here. Gracelyn was the apple of daddy’s eye, mama’s best friend and MJ’s sidekick and partner in crime. She loved school and was quite the social butterfly. From selfies, cartwheels, splits and twirling around, Gracelyn’s light truly shined. She was such a humble, caring, nurturing and beautiful spirit. Gracelyn loved animals.

Life is made up of a few moments, strung together like pearls. It is up to us to pick the ones with the highest luster. So as much as it hurts to see you go Gracelyn Pearl, God knew that you had a luster he needed. On October 25, 2019, He chose you to come shine bright like a diamond.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel in Elizabethtown. Burial will follow the services in the Suggs Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in White Oak.
