Gwenda Smith

Gwenda Leigh Dowless Smith, 52, of Bladenboro passed away Friday, June 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother: Bettie Dowless. Gwenda is survived by her father: Cletus Dowless of Bladenboro, her husband: Ernest Smith of the home, three daughters: Carrie Gibson (husband Bennett), Ashley Callahan (husband Christian), and Amanda Simmons (husband Jonathan), all of Bladenboro and two brothers: Ronnie Dowless (wife Peggy) also of Bladenboro and Dale Dowless (wife Teresa) of Tar Heel.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Bladenboro followed by a funeral service at 3 pm officiated by Rev. Warren Hill and Rev. Devon Varnam. Burial will follow the services in the Henry Allen Cemetery in Bladenboro.
