Harry (Jerry) Iverson Huber, III, 83 of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, passed away on January 18, 2025, after an extended illness. He was living in Bluffton, South Carolina at the time of his death, and had previously lived in Pawleys Island, South Carolina since 2012.

Jerry was born on November 18, 1942 to Harry Iverson Huber, II and Willie Holt Wiley Kiser Huber of Charlotte, North Carolina. His maternal grandparents were William H. Wiley and Lou Ellen Holt Wiley of Charlotte, North Carolina. His paternal grandparents were Harry Iverson Huber, Sr. and Emily Mckee Weidle of New York City, New York.

Jerry lived most of his early childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. After the death of his mother in 1956, when he was fourteen, he and his father moved to Florida for a short time and then to Raleigh, North Carolina where Jerry graduated from Meyers Park High School in 1960. After graduation he moved back to Charlotte, North Carolina and attended Kings College, where he met his first wife, Roberta Dale Cain, from Fayetteville, North Carolina. After marriage they moved to Fayetteville where they made their home and family. They had three children, Allen Cain Huber, Holly Huber Rumsey and Joanna Huber Walden Brinson.

Jerry would later meet and marry his second wife, Connie Driggers, from Elizabethtown, North Carolina. They made their home in Raleigh, North Carolina, where their daughter, Jordan Iverson Huber Martin was born. The family moved to South Carolina in 2010, initially to Hilton Head then to Pawleys Island in 2012.

Jerry was the President/Owner of Jerry Huber & Associates, Inc. He established the business in 2005. He was the first person to import Paulownia wood to the US market to be used in home building. He opened markets from across the United States. He continued operating the business until his death.

Jerry enjoyed boating on the river with family and friends, and he was an avid soccer fan. He was his daughter, Jordan’s biggest fan. His fondest memories were watching her soccer games, and the summer times at the cottage in Cherry Grove Beach in South Carolina with his children and grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Connie Huber of the home in Pawleys Island, South Carolina; daughters, Jordan Iverson Huber Martin of Bluffton, South Carolina; Holly Huber Rumsey (Thomas Rumsey, son in law) of Supply, North Carolina; Joanna Huber Walden Brinson of Leland, North Carolina; son, Allen Cain Huber of North Carolina; grandchildren, Ashley Huber, Justin Huber, Michael Huber, Emily Huber, Jennifer Rumsey, Joshua Rumsey, Jacob Rumsey, Bailey Walden, Ava Reagan Markham and Reese Martin; and three greatgrandchildren.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A graveside service will be held in Elizabethtown, NC at the Elizabethtown City Cemetery for family and friends, on June 14, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
