Harvey Sykes

Harvey Sykes, 87, of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

Mr. Sykes was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Sykes; two grandchildren, Jamie Wilkins and Bobby Wilkins, Jr.; four brothers, Raymond, Oscar, Ernest and Bill Sykes, and one sister, Ruby McLamb.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Wilkins of Bladenboro; one brother, Earl Sykes of Bladenboro; one sister, Shirley Jackson of Winnabow; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four great-great- grandchildren.



The family will receive friend on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Butters Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 am at Butters Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Winebarger and Rev. Merle Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Singletary Cemetery in Butters.
