Henry Ross

Henry Layton Ross, age 84 of Elizabethtown died Sunday, March 4, 2012. He is preceded in death by his birth parents, Herbert B. Ross and Sadie Anderson; his foster parents, Willie T. Anderson and Bessie Jacobs Anderson; two brothers, Mack Anderson and Rhone T. Anderson; two sisters, Letha Jordan and Mary Hinson; and son-in-law, John Patrick Kelly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.



He is survived by his wife, Jane H. Ross of the home; a son, Henry Layton \\"Hank\\" Ross, Jr. and wife Shannon of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Sandra Ross Cain and husband Terry of Elizabethtown; a brother, Jack M. Anderson of Burlington; a sister, Doretha A. Cox of Clarendon; five grandchildren, Grace Mireille Ross of Wilmington, John Patrick Kelly II, Leighanne Ross Kelly, Samuel Layne Ross, Karly Layton Ross, and Aldyn Luke Ross all of Elizabethtown and three step-grandchildren, Michael Lee Cain of Bladenboro, Joey Lynn Cain of Abbottsburg, and Tiffany S. Price of Whiteville.



The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley\\'s Chapel United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Rusty Willis, Rev. David Wade and Rev. Eckie Lancaster. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
