Iver Thompson

Iver Lafayette Thompson Jr., 81, of Clarkton passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Iver and Mary Elizabeth Thompson Sr. Survivors include: wife, Mary Lou D. Thompson of the home; two sons, Gregory Thompson and wife Karen of Winnabow, Billy Thompson and wife Kim of Clarkton; two daughters, Melinda Bender and husband Jack of Pollocksville, NC, Donna Shaw and husband Vic of Clarkton; two sisters, Alice Gunter and Shirley Meggs, both of Clarkton; ten grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro from 3-4pm. A graveside service will follow at Cashwell cemetery in Abbottsburg at 4:30pm with Rev. Bruce Miller officiating service.
