James Britt

James "Jimmy" Ray Britt Jr. 85 of Bladenboro passed away Saturday October 27, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Britt, Sr. and Ila Johnson Britt; brothers, Bill and Paul Britt; and wife, Helen Martin Britt.



He is survived by a son, James C. Britt of Colorado; a brother, Harry B. Britt of Dover, Delaware; and a sister, Nettie Sue Rainey of Darlington, South Carolina.



Jimmy was very civic-minded. He was on a state advisory committee for the Governor of NC. He liked to serve. He was a life-long deacon of Zion Hill Baptist Church.



Services will be conducted on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Zion Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.
