James Fields, Jr.

James Bruce Fields, Jr., 57, of Tar Heel, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Carolyn Fields and nephew, Joseph Russ. James is survived by two brothers: Charles Orr and wife Amy of Fayette, Missouri, Kenneth Monroe of Tar Heel; sister, Cynthia Jones and husband Jerry of Valley, Alabama; brother-in-law, Joe Russ; four nieces: JoAnn (Missy) Russ, Dana Hardison, Shelba Lennon and husband Danny, Shelby Larkin; two nephews: Gage Thies, Brandon Orr and wife, Mary and son, Brantley.

James lived a simple life. He loved to work on old cars and trucks. He also cherished his time with his cats and dogs.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 9th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Rev. Charlie Tatum officiating.
