Janet Corbett

Jesus called Janet Dean Pridgen Corbett, 74, of Kelly, to her heavenly home on Monday, June 12, 2017.

She was known throughout the Kelly community and Greenfield Campground in West Jefferson, NC as a kind, loving, compassionate, and Godly woman. She was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Eva Pridgen of Kelly. Janet is survived by her husband of 56 years, Archie Ray Corbett of the home, daughter Jill Corbett Long of Elizabethtown, a son Tracy Corbett of West Jefferson and the home and a daughter Marsha Corbett Giles (William) of Raleigh, six grandchildren: Mallory, Samantha, and Lauren Long of Elizabethtown; Adam, Seth, and Caroline Pridgen of Raleigh and two step-grandsons Spencer and August Giles of Raleigh, a sister Judy P. Potter of Kelly and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14th at 1 pm at Centerville Baptist Church of Kelly followed by a funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. Lamont Heminger, Rev. Larry Summerlin, Rev. Tom Martin, and Rev. Jack Miller. Burial will follow the services in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kelly.
