Jasper Smith

Jasper Lee Smith, 93, of Bladenboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He was a Navy veteran.



He was born in Bladen County on September 14, 1915, son of the late Charlie G. and Florence Smith Smith.



Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, James Lee and Roy A. Smith; two brothers, Eugene and Sam Smith; one sister, Ellie Lockamy.



He is survived by one son, Steward Smith of Goldsboro; one daughter, Betty Thompson of Lumber Bridge; nine grandchildren.
