Jeanette Bridgers

Jeanette Burney Bridgers, 87, of Elizabethtown passed away Friday, August 19, 2016.
Mrs. Bridgers was born in Bladen County to Claude and Lucy Burney. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lauder Bridgers; infant daughter, Beverly Hope Bridgers; daughter-in-law, Doris Bridgers; two sisters, Carolyn Clark and Alice Butler; brother, Charles Burney.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne Bridgers of Concord, Dr. Stephen Bridgers and wife Beverly, Jeff Bridgers and wife, Denise, all of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Gethro Burney of Clarkton, Leon Burney of Greenville, Fred Burney of Clarkton, and Earl Burney of Kelly; seven grandchildren, Michael, Aaron, Jonathan, Jules, Kathryn, Kayla, and Aleigh; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Aidan.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Clarkton First Baptist Church in Clarkton, NC followed by a funeral service at 4 pm with Rev. Charles Hester and Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow services at Clarkton Cemetery.
