John Bennett

John Emmett Bennett, 75, of Elizabethtown passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Bennett, and Eva Cole Bennett, one sister, Sue Lockner and two brothers, Fred and James Bennett. Left behind to cherish his memory are two daughters, Jennifer Faircloth (Thomas) of Elizabethtown, Cathy Bennett of Arlington, VA, one stepdaughter, Constance Freeman of Arlington, VA, one sister, Charlene Bennett of Florida, and five grandchildren, Hailey Bennett, Aubrey Andersen, Thomas Faircloth Jr., Angela Alvarez-Bennett and John Martinez-Bennett.

John’s family was the love of his life. Always the life of the party, he enjoyed telling jokes and making people smile. His warm heart and wonderful sense of humor have forever left a mark in the hearts and minds of all that knew him.

The family will hold a private service.
