John Bungert

John Edward Bungert, age 69 of Bladenboro, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Betty Bungert ; wife, Geraldine Bungert; and a sister, Elizabeth "Sister" Crews . He is survived by son, John Edward Bungert Jr. and wife Marissa of Bladenboro; a daughter, Jennifer "Strawberry" Bright and husband Tony of Bladenboro; three brothers, Howard Bungert Jr. and wife Yoce of California, Kenneth Bungert and wife Lynn of South Carolina, and Ronnie Bungert and wife Phyllis of Virginia; two sisters, Lena Belcher of Virginia and Holly Eastham and husband Danny of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Austin, Trinity, Micah, Martina, Jaylinn, Layla, and Lonnie Jr.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 12:00 to 12:45 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. A service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Darren Andrews . Burial will follow at Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
