Johnny Cartner, Sr.

Johnny Boger Cartner, Sr., 83, of Bladenboro, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clayton and Lois Boger Cartner; sister: Nancy Koontz; stepson: Derek Singletary; brother: Richard Cartner. Johnny leaves behind his wife: Catherine Edwards Cartner of the home; son: Johnny Cartner, Jr. (Deanna) of Whiteville; daughter: Tiffany Hunt (Michael) of Bladenboro; three brothers: Carl Cartner of Huntersville, Clinton Cartner of Stanley, Andy Cartner of Statesville; five sisters: Mildred Beck of Harmony, Alene Balance of Mocksville, Ann Cline, Alice Waugh and Willa Wooton, all of Statesville; seven grandchildren: Austin Leonard, Johnathon Hunt, Kristen Hunt, Kayla Hunt, Breanna Cartner, Paris Cartner, Brandon Hunt and great-grandchild: Skylar Hunt.

The family will receive friends from 4-5pm on Wednesday, May 29th at Good News Baptist Church in Bladenboro. A graveside service will be held at 5pm in the church cemetery with Rev. Larry Hayes officiating service.
