Joyce Carter

Joyce Carter, 101, of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 12, 2008.

She was born in Bladen County to the late Robert and Rena Ellis.

Mrs. Carter was predeceased by her husband, Dock Carter; son, George Carter; one sister; and five brothers.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dolly Carter, of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Joyce Rhodes of Garner and Georgia Smith and husband, Paul, of Wilmington; three great-grandchildren, Leanne Smith of Wilmington, Scott Rhodes, and Mark Rhodes and wife, Tammy, all of Garner; and two great-great grandchildren, Emily Rhodes and Addisyn Rhodes.

Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 1:00- 1:45. The funeral will be Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at New Center Baptist Church with Rev. George Langley officiating. Burial will follow the service in Meadows Cemetery.
