Kennedy Ameirah Martha Brothers

Kennedy Ameirah Martha Brothers, 14, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Eugene Powell.

Left to cherish her memory are loving parents, Harvey and Evelyn Powell Brothers of the home, paternal grandmother Linda Chancy of Elizabethtown, maternal grandmother Joan Powell of Cerro Gordo, sister Brianna Brothers of the home, brother Xavier Benton, paternal aunt, Stacey McAllister (Richard), Auntie Tamara Bowling(Uncle Will) and cousin Michael, cousins Iyanna McAllister, Justin McAllister, Fitz Powell and Landon Powell, and God mother Ruth Harrington.

Kennedy was a beautiful little soul. She enjoyed being with her family, making others laugh, and watching Bluey, her favorite tv show. She enjoyed pretending with her sister. Kennedy was always “Bingo”, and her sister was “Bluey” and she always made sure everyone knew when an episode went off and she wanted to see another. Although Kennedy was met with challenges in this life, she learned to communicate in her own little language. There was never a dull moment with her and whenever she didn’t like something she let you know with a firm “No”.

Kennedy enjoyed attending school trips with her class and seeing her teachers during remote learning time. They were always entertained and laughing with her during each visit. Whenever she went out and about with others, she loved to show off her teddy bear booties. They were her favorite shoes to wear. Although here for a short time, Kennedy leaves behind beautiful memories of love, laughter and strong will. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her charming personality.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
