Linda Parker

Linda Kay Singletary Parker, 76, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Brate Singletary and Mary Jane Davis Singletary and one sister, Polly Faye Davis. Linda leaves behind her devoted husband Wiley Parker of the home; one son, Eddie Parker of the home; three daughters: Paula Bordeaux (Ivey) of Garland; Melanie Gallup (Scott) of Elizabethtown; and Susan Parker of Pennsylvania; one brother, Edward Singletary (Leslie) of Whiteville; one sister, Gail Davis (Buster) of Elizabethtown; ten grandchildren: Michael, Ryan, Glenn, Hunter, Nicholas, Shawn, Brittany, Megan, Brandi and Steffany and seven great grandchildren.

Linda was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved everyone and enjoyed doing for others. She loved attending church, in attendance at every service until her health wouldn’t allow it. Linda was an asset to the church, enjoyed cooking for shut-ins and bereaved families. She was a compassionate, giving lady that will surely be missed by all that know her.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.  A 3 pm funeral service will be held at Bethel Holiness Church in Bladenboro on Thursday, June 6, 2019 with Rev. Aaron Leonard and Rev. Bruce Miller officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Bladenboro.
