Lois Cheshire

Lois Edith Thompson Cheshire, 89, of Bladenboro \\"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God - Matthew 5:8\\" entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Bladen County on August 24, 1922.



Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny W. Cheshire; son Eddie Cheshire, parents, Grover Shelby and Attie Guyton Thompson; three brothers, Billy, Jack and Wilbur Thompson and grandson, Sammy Cheshire.



She is survived by two sons, Oral and Howard Cheshire of Bladenboro; two daughters, Shirley Williamson of Evergreen and Julia C. Perritt of Bladenboro; one brothers, Grover Stanley Thompson of Leland; two sisters, Golda Moore of Kernersville and Lillian Quick of Cheraw, SC; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.



The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
