Lou Gooden

Lou Lilly Gooden, 81, of Council passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents Hanes and Ledie Vause, husbands: Albert Smith, Thomas Parks, and Leon Gooden, one son: Jerry Wayne Smith and granddaughter Renee' Smith Priest. Lou leaves behind to cherish her memory: her longtime companion, Raymond Miller of Council; son James Franklin Smith and wife Wanda of Council; two daughters: Mary Lou S. Moore and husband Ken of Elizabethtown; Loretta Howell and husband Jimmy of Council; two brothers: Eddie Vause of Council and Clayton Vause of Dublin; grandchildren: Gregory Eason and wife Diana, Kendrick Eason and wife Jessica, Adam Howell, Andrew Howell and Brandon Smith and eight great-grandchildren: Joanna Priest, Autumn Howell, Adriana Howell, Alton Howell, Kaelyn, Tyler, and Ainsley Eason, and Gregory Eason Jr.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark Creech officiating. Burial will follow the services in the church cemetery.
