Lucille Butler

Lucille Bright Butler, age 90, of Elizabethtown, NC passed away at the home of her daughter, Lynda Gray Brisson of Dublin, NC on February 10, 2013 of extended illness. She was born on January 27, 1923 in Darlington, SC. She is survived by her husband of 73 years Horace Butler; three daughters, Lynda Gray Brisson (Pat) of Dublin, NC, Daisy Norris of Dublin and Wanda Lewis (Johnnie) of Clarkton, NC; Grandchildren, Marchelle Butler, Michelle Brisson, Scarlett Brisson, David Brisson, Becky Smith, Rocky Norris,Jennifer Roach, Chris and Jason Lewis; Great Grandchildren, Nathan, Amelia & Kaitlynn Brisson,Christopher Butler, Courtney & Madison Smith, Kayla & Kolby Norris, Mackenzie, Braylin & Addison Roach, Ethan & Kayla Lewis, Braxton Lewis; Great-Great grandson, Cade Smith; one sister, Frances Kellis (Dallas) of Aberdeen, NC; Brother-in-law, Eugene Carter of Shallotte, NC, Junior Stewart of Bolivar, TN, and sister-in-law, Jean Bright of Lake Waccamaw; and Companion pet, poodle Lily.

Preceded in death by her son, James Winford Butler, son-in-law, Terry Norris, parents, William Edward and Lily Bright, sisters, Henrietta O'Dell, Jimmy Carter, Brother, Clyde Johnson, William Jr., James Greg and Jack Bright.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at Dublin First Baptist Church with Rev. Cameron McGill and Rev. Warren Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Singletary UMC Cemetery.
