Margaret Gappins

Margaret S. Gappins, 87 , of White Lake died June 17th, 2011 in the home.



Mrs. Gappins worked for Canal Industries, Inc. of Lumberton for 46 ½ years prior to retiring. She was a member of White Lake Baptist Church and American Business Women Association.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Gappins; a son, Kenneth Gappins, and her parents, Thad and Virginia Dyson Smith; two brothers and one sister.



Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, at 11:00 AM at White Lake Baptist Church by Rev. Thurman Chesnut. Burial will be in the Robert I. Smith cemetery.



The family will receive visitors at Bladen Gaskins funeral Home of Elizabethtown between 7 and 9 PM Sunday night, June 19.



Mrs. Gappins is survived by a son, Larry Gappins of Fayetteville; two grand-daughters, Kim Gappins of White Lake and Ann Gappins of Sweet Home OR; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Watkins of White Lake; five great grandchildren: Brooks Gappins of White Lake and Ryan, Cassie, Scott and Sara Hackworth of Sweet Home, OR.
