Marjorie Hickman

Marjorie Hester Hickman, 81, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Whiteville. Marjorie along with her late husband of 65 years, Robert C. Hickman owned and operated Robert C. Hickman Insurance Agency in Bladenboro for 46 years. She was a caring, kind, compassionate daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

She was born in Bladen County on October 26, 1930 to the late Roy and Lila King Hester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Hickman; her parents; one daughter, Barbara Taylor; three sisters, Myrtle Hester, Clara Lennon and Ruby Hester; two brothers, Cleo Hester and Wilbur Hester, Sr.

She is survived by one son, Curtis Hickman and wife Donna of Morehead City; one son-in-law, Warren Taylor of Bladenboro; three sisters, Louise Hester and Nancy Hester, both of Bladenboro, and Hazel Forlidas of Sunset Beach; two grandchildren, Lawson Hickman of Charlotte and Corey Hickman of Raleigh.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 11:00 am at Pinecrest Cemetery in Bladenboro with Rev. Bert Young and Rev. David Kelly officiating.
