Mary Shipman

Mary Elizabeth Shipman, 87 of Bladenboro passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Mary Lola McIntyre; husband: J.N. Shipman; daughter: Lola Lisa Rebecca Shipman; and brother: James Madison "Jim Mac" McIntyre Jr. Mrs. Shipman was an educator for 30 plus year, she taught in Robeson and Bladen County. Mary is survived by two sons: John "Matt" Shipman of Supply, James S. Shipman of Bladenboro; two daughters: Miriam E. Smith and Marimay "Fran" Bryan both of Bladenboro; sister: Beulah Mae Allen of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; one step-grandson; and two step-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with a funeral service at 3:00pm. Rev. Bruce Miller and Rev. Charles Hester will be officiating services. Burial will follow services in the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro.
