Melba Willoughby

Margelet Campbell Willoughby, 85, of Elizabethtown passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Harrison and Mildred Campbell. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Willoughby of the home, one brother, Layton Campbell of Charlotte, two nephews, John Layton Campbell II and Harry Douglas Campbell and wife Diana, one great nephew, Harrison Douglas Campbell and two great nieces, Isabel Campbell and Sophia Campbell.

Ms. Margelet was a RN for 51 years in which she served 40 of at Bladen County Hospital and was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award for her community work by the governor of North Carolina. She was a dedicated and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 1:00-1:45 pm at the Elizabethtown Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the services in the Clarkton Cemetery.
