Minnie Louise Horrell Johnson

On May 31, 2025, Mrs. Minnie Louise Johnson went to be with her Heavenly Father. She was the daughter of Robert Lee and Myrtle Louise Brown Horrell born on July 1, 1929. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her loving husband David Earl Johnson, a sister Maidie Bryant of Rocky Point, NC, brothers, James Vance Horrell, Emmett Horrell, Norman Horrell of Newport News, VA and Thurman Horrell of Ivanhoe, NC, and great grandson Josh Johnson of Virginia.

Mrs. Johnson formerly of Crozet, VA leaves behind her son, Mr. Duane Johnson and wife Mary Jane of Greenwood, VA, and one daughter Mrs. Crystal Harrelson Tedder of White Lake, NC. Her grandchildren residing in Virginia, Phillip Johnson (Melissa), Aaron Johnson (Sabrina) and Nathan Johnson (Mattie), great grandchildren in Virginia, Colton Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Camden Johnson, Dallas Johnson, Graycen Johnson and Hadley Johnson. Grandchildren residing in North Carolina Scott Harrelson (Michelle) of Newbern, Tiffany Wells of Meadow, NC, and Matthew Harrelson (Jamie) of Roseboro, NC, great grandchildren Rayce Harrelson, Jake Harrelson, Anna Claire Wells, Penn Harrelson and Lennon Harrelson. Mrs. Johnson also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews that will be remembered as dearly loved by their aunt.

Mrs. Johnson always stressed she hoped she was a good mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She most assuredly achieved her mission in life and will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful cook, her church family always looked forward to her banana pudding! She was a great seamstress, gardener and enjoyed those activities but above all,  loving her family was at the top of her list!

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 5th at 2 pm in the Haw Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery, 1433 Haw Bluff Rd, Ivanhoe, NC 28447 with the Reverend Duane Johnson.
